Crews respond to fire at vacant home

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A vacant home caught fire Monday evening and sustained some damage.

According to Capt. Scott Saunders with the Chesapeake Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the 1700 block of Shillelagh Road at 6:38 p.m. Oct. 22.

Saunders says the two-story home was vacant, sustained minor to moderate damage and was under control by 7:37 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
