CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A church in Chesapeake is honoring each life lost on September 11.

Grace Baptist Temple , located at 1101 Burns Street, set out 3,024 flags on their front lawn.

Each flag represents a person who was killed in the attacks.

The display can be seen from interstate 464.

"It's amazing, when you look at 3,024 flags it gives you perspective into what three thousand lives truly is. It's a lot of lives, it's a lot of tragedy, it's a lot of horror that happened ten years ago," said Pastor Matt Nettesheim.

The church is planning a special service on Sunday at eleven.
