Chesapeake native plays Obama on SNL

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Saturday Night Live cast member and Chesapeake native Jay Pharoah has been praised for his impersonation of President Obama and showed off his skills Thursday.

Pharoah, a graduate of Indian River High School in Chesapeake, opened Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Thursday during primetime on NBC with a sketch of President Obama addressing a crowd in Kent, Ohio.
