CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Police have made an arrest in the homicide of a Chesapeake teen, killed during a house party in November.
Raymond Wyche ("Ray-Ray"), 21, of the 2600 block of King Court was taken into custody on Feb. 28 in connection with the homicide of 18-year-old Deonta Cartwright.
Wyche was charged with 1st degree murder, use of firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Police have not disclosed what led to Wyche's arrest.
Cartwright died after he was shot at a party in the 900 block of Butts Street on November 10, 2012. His sister, who was also at the party, told WAVY.com Cartwright died trying to close a door to shield friends from the bullets.
Wyche is being held in the Chesapeake City Jail without bond.
