INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Days before the Super Bowl is played in Indianapolis, officials with Indianapolis International Airport said repairs from last year’s winter storm are complete.
Airport officials announced the completion on Tuesday.
A garage canopy was brought down by heavy ice and snow during a winter storm last year. As a result of the canopy issues, the garage’s escalators, elevators and people movers were also damaged.
The replacement canopy went up in October and the remaining repairs have been completed since then. A piece of art created by Greg Hull has also been repaired.
Airport officials say the garage should now be fully functioning for the anticipated rush of travelers coming to Indy for the Super Bowl.
