CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A Portsmouth man died after riding his bicycle on the exit ramp from Bainbridge Boulevard westbound onto Military Highway on April 30.
Kelly O'Sullivan with Chesapeake Police says 20-year-old Tyler Hirst, of the 2700 block of Greenwood Drive, veered into a vehicle traveling in the lane of traffic going the same direction.
Hirst was transported to Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries and died May 1 at noon.
This is an ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
