Midnight Madness Adopt-a-Thon

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - Chesapeake Animal control, along with shelters across Virginia, will host the second annual "Midnight Madness Adopt-a-Thon" for shelter animals.

Shelters will be open until midnight on Saturday, March 20, 2010. At each location, staff will fortify themselves with extra coffee and dress in their best flannel pajamas, fuzzy slippers and robes in honor of this event. Curlers and mud masks will be optional!! The purpose of this event is to find as many homes as possible for homeless animals hoping for adoption. There will also be refreshments, snacks, raffles, and prizes offered throughout the evening.

Whether you are looking for a lap cat, curtain climber, or cuddle buddy; a pound puppy, Frisbee player or couch potato, your new best friend is waiting at one of these shelters. You are invited to come join the madness and find the only love money CAN buy. So have a heart and save a life - adopt from a shelter.
