CAPE CHARLES, Va. (AP) - The Coast Guard has plucked a kayaker who fell into the water off Virginia's Eastern Shore.

The rescue Thursday involved two Coast Guard vessels from Station Cape Charles. They responded after two kayakers had overturned in water near Kiptopeke State Park in Cape Charles.

When the Coast Guard arrived, they found one of the kayakers in the water. They retrieved him and took him to shore. He was not injured.

The other man was able to get back into his kayak and return to shore. The Coast Guard also retrieved the other man's kayak.
