SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Curbside recycling is returning to Suffolk.
TFC Recycling is now contacting the 2,200-plus residents who signed up online over the past six months to receive 95-gallon bins and every other week collection, all for a fee of $12 per month. The Chesapeake-based company, which will handle the pick up and sorting of the materials, is sending emails and letters requesting billing information. Residents who initially signed up now need to go back to TFC's website to order their bin.
Households registered for the subscription service will have their recyclables - mixed paper (newspapers, magazines, unwanted mail and inserts), cardboard, paper board, aluminum and steel/tin cans, plastic bottles and glass containers - collected every other week on the day of normal trash pick up.
Suffolk residents can continue to subscribe to the curbside recycling program by visiting www.tfcrecycling.com/suffolk where they will be prompted to complete the service agreement and order their bin.
