Bayport Credit Union robbed

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News police are searching for two suspects wanted for a bank robbery.

Investigators say the two masked suspects entered the Bayport Credit Union near 80th and Marshall just before noon Friday. One of the suspects, who reportedly had a gun, walked up to a teller and demanded money.

The suspects took the money and ran off down East 81st Street towards Hampton, according to police.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses and following leads.
