Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes recalled

May contain soy protein

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Pinnacle Foods is recalling a popular breakfast item.

The company discovered certain Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancakes may contain soy protein, which could be harmful to consumers who have an allergy to soy protein. Cross contamination via equipment used to make products containing the protein may have been caused the problem.

The recall applies only to Aunt Jemima Oatmeal, Buttermilk, Buttermilk low fat, Homestyle, Confetti and Whole Grain products packaged in cardboard cartons with recommended use by dates between Nov. 1, 2011 and Oct. 16, 2012.

There have been no reports of any illnesses.
