CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A Norfolk man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting at a Chesapeake church in September of 2008, Chesapeake police said.
Clyde Eugene Hunter, 26, was arrested and charged with first degree murder for the death of 20-year-old Curtis Lee Brown, also of Norfolk. Hunter was also charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Police say Hunter shot Brown at the South Norfolk Baptist Church at 1101 Chesapeake Ave. Witnesses say Brown then ran behind the church where he collapsed. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he later died.
No further details are available about Hunter's arrest.
