CAPE HENRY, Va. (WAVY) - An aircraft violated the temporary no-fly zone during President Barack Obama's visit in Virginia Beach Thursday.
According to Lt. Alain Blondin, the aircraft flew just off the coast, east of Cape Henry and over water.
The PA 28 Piper aircraft was intercepted shortly before 1 p.m. by two F-16 jets under the direction of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, at which point the aircraft was allowed to continue its flight without further action.
