CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Tidewater Community College is revving-up towards the future.
A dedication ceremony was held at the Chesapeake campus' new 30-thousand square foot Regional Automotive Center on Monday April 20th.
The state-of-the-art facility is located in the city's Oakbrooke Business and Technology Center.
The $11-million dollar building boasts ceiling-mounted video cameras for hands-on demonstrations and to learn about specialized manufacturer programs.
TCC President Deborah DiCroce told WAVY.com, "It has nine classrooms, eight double working garage bays, showroom style display areas, conference facilities, and all the accompanying bells and whistles that today's automotive industry demands."
Industry leaders from Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, and Volvo Penta were on hand for the dedication.
