WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - WAVY.com and Ten on Your Side have learned the FBI has planned a meeting with the families of those killed or who are missing along the Colonial Parkway.
Sources confirm and family members report the FBI has called and is trying to schedule a meeting for next Thursday. The meeting fulfills a promise the FBI made to the families to give them a formal update on its bottom up review of the unsolved cases.
Six were killed and two never found in what is called "The Colonial Parkway Murders" that took place between 1986 and 1989.
The incidents did not all occur on the parkway, but took that name after the first two killings in 1986 that did occur on the parkway.
