PORTSMOUTH, Va. - A malfunctioning traffic light in Portsmouth that's been flashing red since the storm is being blamed for a crash Sunday night.
It happened at the intersection of Effingham and Crawford in
Olde Towne.
An SUV flipped and a truck smashed into the sidewalk. Both
drivers were taken to the hospital.
One man who heard the impact rushed to help from his 3rd
floor apartment.
Witness Thomas Pullman told WAVY.com, "It was really loud. At
first I thought it was thunder and then I came down and I heard the
young lady crying out for help."
There's no word yet on the condition of either driver.
