NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) - After one year in Afghanistan, about 200 soldiers from Fort Eustis returned to a homecoming Saturday morning.
A return ceremony was held Saturday at the Newport News base for the 7th Sustainment Brigade.
The soldiers spent the past year based at Kandahar Airfield. The military said they distributed 975,779,932 gallons of water and 469,217,256 gallons of fuel and airdropped 15,636 bundles of commodities across three regional commands in Afghanistan.
