2 suspects rob Smithfield Park and Shop

One displaced a firearm and aimed at the clerk

SMITHFIELD, Va. (WAVY) - Smithfield police say two suspects robbed the Park and Shop located at 1001South Church Street. One of the suspects was armed.

The suspects are described as black males in their late 20's or mid-30's, police said. Both of the suspects were wearing dark colored pants and dark hooded sweatshirts.

Surveillance video given to WAVY.com by Smithfield police shows the two suspects outside first, walking into the store. The video then shows the suspects inside, where one displayed a firearm and aimed it at the store clerk and store owner. The second suspect removed money from the safe.

Both of the suspects were wearing masks and gloves during the robbery, and fled in an unknown direction.
