HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) - Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach was ranked 122 in Newsweek's annual list of the top 1,600--or top six percent--best high schools in the country.
Eight other Virginia Beach high schools, two in Newport News, one in Norfolk, one in Hampton and four in York County also made Newsweek's list, which is based on the level of a school's challenges to students with advanced placement courses and tests.
