25-year-old Shannon L. Squires
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Cpl. Shannon L. Squires, 25 of Virginia Beach, died Aug. 28, 2006 in Iraq of injuries sustained from an improvised explosive device explosion near his convoy vehicle during combat operations.
He served active duty in the Marines in the 3rd Battalion, 321 Field Artillery Regiment, 18th Field Artillery Brigade, XVIIIth Airborne Corps Artillery based in Fort Bragg, N.C.
