VB H1N1 clinic canceled due to weather

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - From the Virginia Beach Department of Health:

The H1N1 vaccination clinic scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Department of Public Health (VBDPH), 4452 Corporation Lane, has been cancelled due to inclement weather. It will be rescheduled.

Another H1N1 vaccination clinic will take place on Friday, Nov. 13 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. VBDPH nurses will administer H1N1 flu vaccines free of charge to the following individuals:
• Pregnant women
• Parents and caregivers for children younger than 6 months
• Health and emergency medical services personnel
• People between 6 months and 24 years old
• People between 25 and 64 years old with underlying medical conditions

Vaccine supply is limited. Individuals will receive vaccine on a first-come, first-served basis.

Individuals should dress appropriately for weather conditions and be prepared for lengthy wait times.

The latest local H1N1 information can be found at www.HealthyVB.com. Times and dates of VBDPH vaccination clinics will be updated regularly. Additional information can be found at www.flu.gov.

Individuals with questions pertaining to the vaccination clinics can call the VBDPH at 518-2700 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
