HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) - Now that the 2012 elections are in the books, many are left wondering how long before the campaign signs will come down.
10 On Your Side reached out to officials in the seven cities to see if there is any deadline for campaign sign removal following an election. Here is a breakdown city by city of their responses, which vary.
• Suffolk – Seven days after election.
• Hampton – No deadline.
• Virginia Beach – No deadline.
• Portsmouth – 15 days after election.
• Newport News – 10 days after election.
• Chesapeake – 10 days after election.
