VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police are investigating a stabbing during a possible robbery in a grocery store parking lot.

According to Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of Providence Road for a stabbing in the parking lot of Kroger around 12:45 p.m. A female victim suffered several stab wounds in what may be a robbery attempt.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot. He is described as a white male in his 20s with a possible beard. He was wearing jeans at the time of the incident.

Moyers said the victim’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
