Woman charged with leaving baby alone

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) - A 25-year-old woman has been charged with child neglect after officers say she left a baby alone Thursday.
Maj. Greg Riley with the Williamsburg Police Department told WAVY.com officers responded to the 900 block of Capitol Landing Road around 3 p.m. in reference to a crying baby.
According to Riley, the suspect, Kristin Marie Kelly arrived prior to officer arrival. Further investigation revealed Kelly left the baby alone for an undetermined time, Riley added.
The baby was said to have been alone not less than five minutes but not more than an hour.
Kelly was arrested and charged with child neglect.
