PD: Officer assaulted by drunk woman

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A 36-year-old woman was arrested after officers say she assaulted a police officer during the early morning hours last weekend.
According to police, Charmaine Monique Swan fought officers as they placed her under arrest for drunk in public and assault in the 200 block of East Washington Street in Suffolk at approximately 3:20 a.m. Oct. 20.
Swan has been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, misdemeanor drunk in public and felony assault on a police officer.
