One wanted for questioning in homicide

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police are searching for one man in connection to a homicide along 16th Street and says he is currently wanted on separate charges.

Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department said James Jerome Brooks, 32, is wanted for questioning regarding the shooting death of Laurie Ann Escobar. Escobar was killed inside a home in the 700 block of 16th Street Tuesday morning.

Brooks is additionally wanted on unrelated charges of malicious wounding, abduction and use of a firearm.
