HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection to a shooting along Cunningham Drive Wednesday night.

Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division says two teen victims, ages 16 and 17, were shot during a fight in the 2100 block of Cunningham Drive in the Peninsula Town Center area around 10 p.m. Gunfire was exchanged between three people, resulting in a vehicle and an apartment being struck as well as the teens.

One of the teens was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the arm. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment and their injuries were said to be non-life threatening.

Price said the teens are not suspects in the incident.

Two of the suspects fled the area in a black Ford Crown Victoria with a spotlight. Price said the vehicle was shot into and the rear window was shot out. There is no description of the suspects at this time.

A third suspect, identified as Demontray Lamont Harper of Hampton, was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle, shooting into an occupied dwelling, discharging a firearm in public and discharging a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school.

He remains incarcerated at the Hampton City Jail.

Anyone with information on the additional suspects is asked to contact the Hampton Police Division at 757-727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
