NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Two Norfolk men are accused of selling drugs near the campus of Old Dominion University.

Daniel Reich and David M. Drewry were arrested Thursday.

Packages mailed from California got the attention of a police dog who sniffed out marijuana. According to police reports, the packages contained six pounds of marijuana addressed to a home off west 41st Street. Undercover police delivered it and arrested 20-year-old Reich.

Court papers show police next searched Reich's house off west 43rd Street and found mushrooms, LSD and marijuana. They charged 20-year old Drewry with possession.

In the affidavit Reich told police he "receives two to three pounds of marijuana weekly."

Reich has been charged with one count each of possession with intent to sell, distribute, etc., transporting controlled substances into Virginia, and possession of controlled substances, sell distribute marijuana.

Drewry is charged with possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possess firearm while in possession of drugs.

"I actually talked to a couple of guys inside the house," neighbor Ramzi Garvin told WAVY News 10 on Monday.  "They seemed like pretty nice guys. I didn't know there was actually drugs involved at the house."

Another neighbor Vinny Vincent said, "We knew something was going on when we saw the undercover cop cars like parked the wrong way on the street and they were sitting out on the porch a long time."

The next court appearance for Reich and Drewry, both ODU students, is scheduled for Wednesday.
