NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Police say they have arrested two suspects wanted in connection with Monday's arson at a Norfolk thrift store.
According to Capt. Mike Hicks with Norfolk Fire Rescue, William Swingle and Jessa Potter of Virginia Beach were arrested Tuesday thanks to surveillance footage and help from the public.
Crews were dispatched to Thrift Store City at 1700 East Little Creek Road for a fire just after 4:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7. Upon arrival, they discovered two tractor trailers storing clothing were on fire, with flames and smoke showing. Merchandise inside the trailers was completely ruined.
No one was injured in the fire, and the thrift shop's building did not sustain any damage.
