HAMPTON, Va. - Police say men armed with a handgun and a hammer accosted a fast food employee outside of a restaurant in Hampton Monday evening.
According to Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division, the incident occurred shortly before midnight at the Popeye's parking lot in the first block of West Mercury Boulevard.
The suspects, described as two black men with medium complexions in their mid-20s, forced the employee back into the restaurant and forced him to give them cash. The victim was not harmed.
The suspects then fled on food toward North King Street, according to Price.
