YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Deputies in York County need help finding two females who used more than $1,000 in counterfeit cash at a grocery store.
Lt. Dennis Ivey with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said deputies were searching for Angelique Shantell Austin and LaQuisha Vaday Rhoades in connection to an incident on Jan. 24 at a Food Lion on Hampton Highway.
The pair is believed to have used more than $1,500 in counterfeit cash to purchase prepaid Visa cards.
Both are wanted on charges of forgery of bank notes, utter of bank notes and obtaining money by false pretenses. Ivey said both suspects are possibly in the Norfolk or Virginia Beach area.
