Suspect ID'd in teen's shooting

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News police are looking for a suspect they say shot a 17-year-old female last week.
Warrants have been filed for Taurean Alexzander Osby, 18, of the 600 block of Chapel Street in Hampton. He is wanted for malicious assault, use of a firearm and reckless handling of a firearm.
Police say the victim and the suspect were visiting a mutual friend in the 4500 block of Orcutt Avenue when the female was shot. A motive for the shooting remains unclear, police said.
The girl is currently listed in fair condition at a local hospital.
