VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A 26-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting four different women between Norfolk and Virginia Beach received no bond Tuesday morning and was reportedly on suicide watch.
A judge granted Roy Ruiz Loredo of Virginia Beach a $100,000 bond during a hearing last week. During a bond appeal Tuesday, Loredo was given no bond and he admitted to grabbing one of the victims.
Loredo said the assault was not intended to be sexual.
During the hearing, it was mentioned that video exists of Loredo lying in wait for a woman.
Loredo was also said to have been in the Navy. Court documents reported Loredo had gone AWOL and was subsequently discharged.
Police received the first call for a sexual assault just before 4 a.m. in the 1600 block of Andrew Jackson lane, Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department said. Minutes later, a second victim reported being attacked in the parking lot of the Brass Bell located in the 1600 block of Independence Boulevard.
Just after 5:10 a.m., a third victim reported being sexually assaulted in the backyard of her home in the 1500 block of Janke Road.
According to Moyers, all three Virginia Beach locations were a short distance from each other.
Virginia Beach Police have charged Loredo with one count of abduction and one count of attempted rape in connection to one of the crimes. Charges have not been filed for the other two attacks at this time.
Norfolk Police have also charged Loredo with one count of forcible sodomy, one count of attempted forcible sodomy, one count of abduction with the intent to defile and once count of breaking and entering with the intent to rape for a sexual assault in April.
WAVY.com is working to learn more about all four attacks.
