YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Deputies in York County are looking for two people who stole a woman’s credit card at a grocery store on March 3.
Lt. Dennis Ivey with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said one suspect distracted the victim at a Farm Fresh on Merrimac Trail in the York County section of Williamsburg while another took her wallet from her purse.
Both suspects then went to a Best Buy in Williamsburg, where they made $3,867 in purchases with the victim’s credit card. Ivey said the suspects also used the victim’s credit card at Target and other local businesses.
The suspects were captured on surveillance. Anyone who recognizes them or has information on the theft is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
