NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News Police are searching for three suspects involved in a robbery at a pizza restaurant Saturday.

Lou Thurston with the Newport News Police Department told WAVY.com the three male suspects armed with handguns entered the Pizza Hut located at 13659 Warwick Blvd. through a side door. There, they robbed the manager and two employees of the restaurant’s cash.

The suspects took cash from two registers and forced the manager to open the safe, where they took a cash box.

Thurston said as they fled, the suspects fired gunshots at a delivery driver just returning from a delivery. No one was injured.

The suspects are described as black males wearing black clothing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
