CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a man served with an outstanding warrant suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was shot by a bail bondsman.
According to Kelly O'Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department, the shooting was reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Stalham Road.
Police say Edmond F. Langevin, a bail bondsman from A. Ace Bail Bond Company, had attempted to serve the subject with an outstanding warrant. A neighbor says he saw the subject pull up in a vehicle with two other men, all three of which attempted to flee the scene when Langevin pulled up to them.
When Langevin approached the subject, the two got into an altercation and the bondsman shot the subject one time, who was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
