PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - A second suspect has been charged in the shooting death of a 21-year-old Virginia Beach woman found in her car.

According to Jan Clark with the Portsmouth Police Department, Jalisa Knight was found in her Acura in the 1100 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue May 14, 2011 suffering from several gunshot wounds.

Michael Angelo Ecklin, 26, was indicted for Knight's murder last August on charges of murder, two counts of use of firearm in the commission of a felony, two counts of attempted robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Thursday, Jerome Alexander Griffin was formally charged with Knight's murder.

Both Griffin and Ecklin were already behind bars on unrelated charges when they were indicted for the young woman's death.
