NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A woman crashed her vehicle after police say she left a gas station to make a deposit and found a strange man sitting in her SUV.

Chris Amos with the Norfolk Police Department told WAVY.com a woman working at the gas station on the corner of Azalea Garden Road and East Little Creek Road left to make a deposit just after 10:30 a.m. When she got in her vehicle, she found an unknown black male inside.

The victim said she was startled by the suspect and hit the accelerator, sending her vehicle out of the parking lot and into another vehicle on Azalea Garden Road.

WAVY.com spoke to the victim, Teresa Boldoc, who said thoughts of her grandchildren motivated her to escape the suspect's grasp.

"I don't care about money. I live my life everyday for my grandchildren," said Boldoc.

She says while she was in her SUV with the suspect, she thought she was going to die. "I sat there in my car terrorized with a black gun held to my head. I was thinking this is going to be my last breath. I'm going to see blood pouring out any minute. I kept wondering if I would live through it," said Boldoc.

Witnesses told police they saw a black male get out of the car and run from the scene. The victim said the suspect was able to get away with the deposit, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash. According to Amos, both the victim and the driver of the other vehicle are okay.
