Robber pulls handgun during purchase

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police are investigating an early morning robbery at a CVS Pharmacy.

According to investigators, the suspect walked into the Laskin Road store at around 4:45 a.m. on August 29 and selected several items for purchase. When the suspect got to the register, he pulled out a handgun and demanded for the clerk to place money in a plastic bag.

The robber grabbed the bag and left, according to police spokesman MPO Jimmy Barnes.
