WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) - A man accused of being a Peeping Tom in Williamsburg has been released on bond.
Maj. Greg Riley with the Williamsburg Police Department told WAVY.com officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Merrimac Trail around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday for a report of indecent exposure.
There, they met with the victim who said they observed a white male with long blonde or white hair looking into their home and performing a sex act on himself. Another witness reported seeing the suspect walk to an adjacent building and climb into a window.
When police went to investigate the area, they found an open, unscreened window in the adjacent building. After making contact with the resident, Peter Schellman, the victim positively identified him as the suspect.
Schellman was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, obscene sexual display and Peeping Tom. He was released on a $3,500 bond.
