PD: Woman used drugs around toddler

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Portsmouth Police have charged a woman with child abuse and neglect after she reportedly used drugs while a child was with her.

Jan Clark with the Portsmouth Police Department said a family member called police to report Amethyst Nicole Nagy, 32, used the drugs while with a toddler. The family member further reported to finding Nagy unconscious in the bathroom of her home.

Police arrested Nagy Thursday and charged her with abuse and neglect of children as well as possession of controlled substances.
