WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) - Williamsburg Police say a teen went door to door in a neighborhood, pretending to be an agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Maj. Greg Riley with the Williamsburg Police Department told WAVY.com officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Green Street for a report of a man claiming to be a FBI agent on Dec. 21.
The complainant told officers a white male was going door to door, telling the occupants he was checking the area because of the Newtown, Conn. shootings. The suspect was described as wearing a red dress shirt, dark pants and a wool coat. He also had a hoop earring.
Police later located the suspect, identified as Joseph Alexander Wilson, and a positive identification was made by the complainant, Riley said. Police issued a summons for impersonating a law enforcement officer.
