PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Portsmouth fire investigators are trying to find out what sparked a suspicious car fire near several abandoned homes overnight.

Officials say it started at around 3:30 in the 1200 block of Freedom Avenue.

It only took crews a few minutes to put out the flames.

No one appears to have been hurt.
