NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Police say a Newport News woman was allegedly beaten by a group of people, including an ex-boyfriend, in the early morning hours of Oct. 7 after leaving The Alley Night Club.
According to Holly McPherson with the Newport News Police Department, the 22-year-old victim was kicked and punched in the head by a mob after leaving the club at 100 Newmarket Square and walking toward Soap and Suds at 6044 Jefferson Ave.
Police say the woman was not hospitalized following the assault but had woken up later that morning with neck and back pain.
McPherson says two women have been arrested in connection with the incident and one man is wanted. Lynnaye Ariana Wilson, 22, and Kimberly Terrill Alexander, 21, were arrested shortly after noon on Oct. 22 and charged with assault by mob. Wilson was also charged with grand larceny and fail to appear on a traffic summons, an unrelated charge to the mob assault.
Additionally, 24-year-old Kendrick Markiest Alexander of the 800 block of Garden Drive is wanted for assault on family member, assault by mob and robbery. Police say Alexander is the brother of Kimberly Alexander and current boyfriend of Wilson.
McPherson says the victim was unable to identify another man and two other women involved in the attack.
