PERQUIMANS COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - A North Carolina mother was arrested Friday for encouraging a fight between her daughter and another teen girl earlier this week.

According to LeAnne Hamilton with the Pequimans County Sheriff's Office, the fight between the two girls occurred Jan. 8 on Comanche Trail, in the Snug Harbor area of Hertford, N.C.

Hamilton said Kim Ann Wehner, the mother of one of the girls, was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and assault and battery.

Wehner bailed out of the Albemarle District Jail earlier this week.

In the video attached to this story,  Wehner is the woman wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and pink shoes. She is the mother of the dark-haired teen fighting.

The Perquiman's County Sheriff says the two girls were fighting over a boy.
