Man wanted for using fake credit card

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News Police are asking for help identifying a man who used a counterfeit credit card at a grocery store on Dec. 31.

Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department said the incident occurred just before 7 p.m. at the Food Lion located at 467 Oriana Road. An unknown man wearing a brown zip-up sweater and jeans used the counterfeit credit card for $150 in purchases.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
