Man snatches cash, walks out of bank

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a man is wanted for robbing a Newport News BayPort Credit Union Wednesday evening.

According to Holly McPherson with the Newport News Police Department, a man entered the bank located at 8000 Marshall Avenue and handed a teller a note demanding money.

The man then left with an undisclosed amount of cash and did not display a weapon.

The suspect is described as a black man, between 5'7" and 5'8", in his early 30s. At the time of the incident, he was wearing blue pants and a hooded sweatshirt, cinched around his face.
