YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Deputies say last weekend, a man paid for one bottle of Aristocrat brand vodka without paying for another bottle he stored in his coat pocket.
According to Dennis Ivey with the York County Sheriff's Office, the man entered the ABC store in the 6600 block of Mooretown Road in Williamsburg just after 5 p.m. Jan. 12.
Ivey said the man walked straight to the back of the store, placed one vodka bottle in a coat pocket and took another one to the register, telling the clerk he did not have enough money to pay for the vodka.
Ivey said the man told the clerk he would be right back with money but left without paying for the bottle he stashed in his pocket.
