Man tries to steal $600 of Cowboys gear

YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) - Deputies say a man attempted to steal more than $600 worth of merchandise at a Yorktown K-Mart store last week.

According to Lt. Dennis Ivey with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office, the unidentified man entered the store loacted at 5007 Victory Blvd. and tried to steal Dallas Cowboys clothing and electronics.

Ivey says the man ran and drove away in a red Ford F-150 truck when he was confronted by a loss prevention officer.

Ivey says the man is approximately 5'6".
