PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Four teens have been arrested after the victim of a burglary saw them driving his stolen vehicle, according to police.

Jan Clark with the Portsmouth Police Department said officers received a call around 5 p.m. on Feb. 19 in reference to a burglary on Forresthills Drive. The victim came home to find his glass door damaged and items missing from his home.

Sometime between noon and 4:30 p.m., the suspects entered the home and took computer equipment and money. They also stole the victim’s 1998 Toyota 4Runner from the garage.

Thursday, the victim was traveling in the area of College Drive and Harbour View Boulevard in Suffolk when he spotted his stolen vehicle with four people inside. He then followed the vehicle and contacted police.

The suspects stopped at a Navy Federal Credit Union on High Street. Officers on scene saw two male suspects get out of the vehicle and two others stay inside. All four were taken into custody without incident.

Three of the suspects were juveniles ages 15 and 17. Clark said the fourth suspect, 18-year-old Emmanuel Mustin who lived near the victim, was charged with burglary, grand larceny and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The other teens are pending juvenile petitions for burglary and grand larceny, Clark said. They were released to their parents.

Clark added that officers found two black pellet pistols inside the vehicle that closely resembled semi-automatic handguns.
